This is a high quality print of an original watercolor painting. The original is available. See paintings in Western category of art. The painting was inspired on a trip down into the San Raphael Swell, Buckhorn Draw, south of my home. As I sat and watched the shadows growing longer and the stillness growing around me in the vast expanses surrounding me, my minds eye envisioned a party of Ute native Americans traveling down the ridge as they did more than a century past. The mountain behind the party is Assembly Hall Peak, often called "The Two Sentries' by local ranchers because of the shadows near the top of the mountain that appear to be two guards standing watch over the valley below and the hunting party. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist.
